Monitoring and Research Center of the Digital Economy

Its overall objective is to promote economic information and metrics on the development of electronic business and commerce and its impact at international, Latin America and the national member economies.

It is intended for those interested in the new economy, digital development, information society and knowledge economy and network connectivity, or any of its many variants:

  • Companies in the process of adaptation to the New Economy
  • Central government, regional and local stakeholders in the digitization of public sector generally and the economic and social effects of new technologies and innovation.
  • Media involved in the dissemination of new technologies and, more generally, of the new economy.
  • Professionals of the new technologies of information and communications technology (ICT)
  • Professors of economics, business management, ICT, etc.
  • Managers and professionals who devote special attention to innovation in processes, products and systems of organization.
  • Instructors of courses on the Internet, electronic commerce, database management, etc..
  • Students and fans of these issues.

We realize that provide an integrated view of a field as current, dispersed and varied as the "new economy" is not easy. There are experiences and opinions for everyone to the assessment and explain the economic and business operation of new information technologies and telecommunications (ICT) and several variants known by names as diverse as digital economy, information from networks, electronic or other diverse that shaped the New Economy more generally.

We have chosen the work of the Observatory and Center for the Study of Digital Economy be focused Statistical Information Services (COCKPIT by country), studies on the digital economy and to present a revision in the form of summary files setting out the main aspects very synthetic to allow quick reading and easy reference.

Through cooperation agreements with similar center in Europe and the U.S. have collected fifty schedules established including relationships, diagrams, data tables, graphs, etc.. on various issues of the new economy are grouped into seven sections:
